Temporary On Ramp to Open at Exit 2 on I-93 Today

New Hampshire Department of Transportation officials announced the opening of the new temporary southbound on-ramp located at the Exit 2 interchange with Pelham Road and Interstate 93 in Salem.
Gov. Maggie Hassan, U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-NH, and State Senate President Chuck Morse are scheduled to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony at Gamma Medica on Friday morning at 10:15 a.m. The company recently moved its operations to Salem and manufactures digital imaging technology that can help detect breast cancer.
Town officials are still accepting bids to auction off the old Mary Foss School building this month.
The building is located is 287 Lawrence Road and the minimum bid is $150,000. The auction is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. and will be conducted by James R. St. Jean Auctioneers in Epping.

School Superintendent Michael Delahunty also told the Salem Observer on Thursday that town residents will see the foundations poured and the steel frames erected for the $17 million renovation project at the Soule and Fisk elementary schools in November.
