Those commuting through Southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts today, take note: a winter weather advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service, with snow accumulating 1-2 inches in and around Salem, and sleet and freezing drizzle possible later.
The snowstorm is expected to hit between 1-4 p.m. Monday afternoon and then transition to light freezing rain around 9 p.m.
Drivers are urged to take extra caution as visibilities may be limited to a quarter mile to one half mile at times and roadways are likely to become slippery, especially on untreated roads.
