The town received word this morning from Rockingham Superior Court that both conflict of interest articles approved by voters at Town Meeting in March have been ruled invalid, according to Town Administrator Dave Sullivan. In a message to Windham Patch, Sullivan said that it was determined that both articles infringed upon constitutional rights. Both articles were petitions drafted by Windham resident Marc Sneider and others. Before the decision, a temporary injunction on the two articles was in place. The Windham Board of Selectmen voted on March 26 to have a court decide the fate of the controversial ordinance.
