Center School Joins Golden Brook and WMS in Seeing Police Response
The WPD response was the third in the last two weeks.

For the second time in as many days, police responded to gun shots heard near a Windham School, but unlike yesterday, Windham Center School also reported hearing shots.
According to a message to parents from Windham Center School Principal Kori Alice Becht, a staff member reported hearing what seemed to be shots fired in the distance behind the facility. The incident was reported at 1:20 p.m.
"In following protocol, the police were notified and began an investigation," Becht said. "We did not go into lockdown per the advisement of the Windham Police Department, and at 1:35 p.m. we were cleared to continue the day as normal."

Golden Brook School and Windham Middle School saw police presence both last week and this week after a group of people shooting target practice in Pelham triggered the responses.
Last week prompted a lockdown of the middle school, but neither school was locked down yesterday.
One man shooting in Pelham was arrested on gun charges following yesterday's incident.
Two prior incidents have also taken place in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting in December.
Police responded to what was reportedly a "loud bang" at Windham High School on the Monday after the Connecticut school murders, and later in the week a Twitter threat was reportedly made to the Windham district. The FBI was informed on the latter.
Becht has advised parents to direct any questions on today's incident to either Windham Center School or the Superintendent's Office. Moulis did the same, advising those with questions to contact Windham Middle School.
