Dance for a Cause in Windham this Week

Here are five things you should know in Windham today.

1. Unmask the Magic! A dinner, dance and auction benefitting Windham Endowment will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, at 6:30 p.m. at Promises To Keep in Derry. Tickets are $75 for the “Unmask the Magic” event. For more information, call 490-6898 or visit windhamendowment.org.

2. The weatherman says ... There is a slight chance of rain and snow showers before 10 a.m., and then rain is possible before 1 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 51. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 35.

3. Someone call the dentist! Barring unforeseen circumstances (see 2011 & 2012) the 2013 Windham Trick-or-Treat hours take place from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31

4. Help someone stay warm this fall and winter! The Woman’s Club coat and sweater drive is Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, at Windham Town Hall. Coats and sweaters are needed for men, women and children. Collection boxes also are at Shaw’s and Nesmith Library.

5. On the agenda. The Windham Planning Board meets Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m.
