1. TODAY'S FORECAST: Partly cloudy skies and a high of 33 are expected. A low of 21 and clear skies will follow tonight.
2. CONSERVATION COMMISSION ON SELECTMEN AGENDA: A discussion of a possible town warrant article to reduce Conservation Commission membership to five will take place tonight at 7 p.m. at the Community Development Department.
3. MEET THE SUPERINTENDENT CANDIDATES: A forum offering residents the chance to meet the two candidates for superintendent will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The event will take place in the WHS auditorium.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1789, America's first presidential election is held. Voters cast ballots to choose state electors; only white men who owned property were allowed to vote. As expected, George Washington won the election and was sworn into office on April 30, 1789.
5. NHL LOCKOUT IS OVER!: Hockey fans, your sport is set to come back this month. A minimum schedule of 48 games will take place this year after the differing sides in the NHL lockout finally reached an agreement early Sunday morning. It's going to feel a lot more like winter here in New England pretty soon.
