1. TODAY'S FORECAST: A mostly sunny day is expected with a high of 71. That will turn into an overnight low of 50.

2. DOOR-TO-DOOR CAMPAIGNING: Selectman Kathleen DiFruscia said on Monday that conversations with Police Chief Gerald Lewis indicated that door-to-door campaigning will be allowed in town. Registration is not required with the police department.

3. BLACK MOOSE COUNTRY STORE OPEN: On Sept. 18, the business opened its doors to Windham. Check it out over in the Cobbett's Pond Plaza.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1780, during the American Revolution, American General Benedict Arnold meets with British Major John Andre to discuss handing over West Point to the British, in return for the promise of a large sum of money and a high position in the British army. The plot was foiled and Arnold, a former American hero, became synonymous with the word "traitor."
