FLOW Seeking Volunteers for Upcoming Events
The next meeting of the organization will take place on Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m.

From the Friends of the Library of Windham (F.L.O.W.)
The Friends of the Library of Windham (F.L.O.W.) are looking for volunteers who would like to join our 2012-2013 Board. It is our volunteers that have made F.L.O.W. the successful organization that it is today. We have been able to provide financial support to the Nesmith Library for its recent renovations. In addition, many wonderful programs have been paid for by F.L.O.W. as a way to enhance the offerings of the library. Programs in the past have included Dinoman Science, Pig Out on Reading with Farmer Minor and Daisy the Pig, Museum of Science Night Sky, LEGO Block Party, Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Party with May Da Twista, Teen Kick-Off Party, Kindermusik Programs with Rose Lemay, Granite State Zoo’s A World Full of Wild Tails, NH Audubon’s Raptor Rapture, End of Summer Reading Program with Double Vision, and many more! We have also sponsored adult programs such as a Flower Arranging Workshop, Nanette Perrotte’s Ella Fitzgerald Performance, an Irish Folk Singer and more!
The annual Strawberry Festival and Book Fair, the town of Windham’s largest community event, is organized by the F.L.O.W. Board members. F.L.O.W. also offers scholarships to young adults in the community, as well as raises money to support museum passes, visits from authors, and other needs at our town’s library and schools.

The Friends currently have several positions open on our Board including: Children’s Programming, Teen Programming, Book Fair and Web Master. Positions can be shared, so join with a friend! Also, joining the F.L.O.W. Board is a perfect opportunity to meet new people and have lots of fun! So if you’ve ever taken advantage of all the great things our town library offers you or your family, please consider giving back by volunteering on the F.L.O.W Board.
The Board meets once a month in October, November, January, March, April, and May. Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 10 at 6:30p.m. The meeting will be held at the Nesmith Library and we hope that you will join us.
