High School Sign, Purchasing Policy, Committee Interviews and Lights
The Board of Selectmen will meet tonight at 7.

A lengthy Board of Selectmen agenda tonight will include interviews of candidates for five town committees.
Those seeking spots on the Conservation Commission, Historic District/Heritage Commission, Recreation Committee, Local Energy Committee and Economic Development Committee will come before the board.
The board will also discuss the adoption of amendments to the town's Purchasing Policy.
Changes could include bid preferences being given to local businesses in certain circumstances.
Other issues set to come before the board tonight include the annual request by the Windham Soccer Association for the use of temporary portable lights at Griffin Park for the fall.
The request has regularly received approval by the board, although complaints have cropped up here and there from residents of Squire Armour Road.
No residents of the Squire Armour Road neighborhood came to the meeting to argue against the lights last year.
Two years ago, a resident issued a complaint that the lights were shining in through her window, but nobody else on the street expressed any concerns.
Also coming tonight is a request by the School Board for Selectmen to authorize placing a Windham High School sign in the town's right of way on Londonbridge Road.
Selectmen supported the electronic sign 5-0 during a June meeting.
Tonight's meeting will start at 7 in the Community Development Department conference room. See the complete agenda here.
