I-93 to be Reduced to One Lane at Exit 2 Starting Tuesday
Bridge steel erection in the area will cause the lane closure.

Interstate 93 northbound at Exit 2 will be reduced to one lane starting tomorrow as bridge steel erection operations will take place.
The construction will run from Tuesday to Thursday, weather permitting.
The announcement was made late last week by the New Hampshire Department of Transportaiton.

While the construction operations are taking place, detours will be in place along N.H. Route 97/Pelham Road to prevent traffic from traveling under the existing bridges while the new beams are erected.
The detour route for N.H. 97/Pelham Road will be South Policy Road to Lowell Road to Stiles Road.

Message boards and detour signs will also be in place to assit motorists through the detor.
The $41 million project is part of the I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor is George R. Cairns & Sons, inc. of Windham.
