McLeod Responds to Criticisms From Al Letizio, Jr. Letter
The Windham Selectman countered a letter published on Windham Patch this week.

Board of Selectmen Vice Chairman Ross McLeod has issued a statement in response to a letter posted this week on Windham Patch.
The letter, written by Board of Selectman candidate Al Letizio, Jr. criticized McLeod for his recent Facebook endorsement of Letizio's opponent Alan Carpenter, calling it a conflict of interest.
The letter from Letizio can be found here. Below is McLeod's response:

Let me get this straight. Al Letizio had no objection whatsoever to current Selectman Lochiatto endorsing him not once, but twice (!!) on the Patch article wherein he announced his candidacy (and which arguably reaches a greater number of people than my Facebook post could reach).
That tells me that Letizio is fine with someone's opinion, as long as he agrees with it. Why does Letizio want me to be quiet? I can only assume it is because I fully support Alan Carpenter because of his proven track record on the Board of Selectmen (twice) and on the Planning Board.

By the way, for those following the Selectmen, the only two of us who had anything of substance to say on the Police Union's grievance of the step raise denial were Kathleen DiFruscia and myself, and as you undoubtedly saw, we had completely opposite views and votes on that matter.
Independent, articulate advocacy is what you should vote for on the Board of Selectmen, not the suppression of opposing views.
