Monday Essentials: Foodie Weekend Begins Friday

1. Embrace your inner food lover in Windham! The 1st Annual Windham Foodie Weekend, which runs September 27th-29th, is packed full of tasty treats to keep you busy and full all weekend long.  Throughout the three days, multiple businesses are offering special sales and samples to 
those that mention  the “Foodie Weekend” when you visit their locations.  For more information on the participating businesses click here.

2. Join Windham Newcomers and Friends. The local women's social club is holding its annual membvership kickoff at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Newsmith Library. The club is for both new and established residents.  Various activities are offered throughout the year (except July and August), including recipe club, book clubs, Koffee Klatch, Lunch Bunch, Broadway Nites, Bunco, Neighbors In Needs, and various other social events, parties and get-togethers.  Women of all ages are welcome!

3. The weatherman says ... today's forecasted high, according to Weather.com, is 61 degrees with a 0-percent chance of rain. The overnight low is 41 degrees.

4. Closed for the day. The Windham Community Development will be closed all day this Wednesday, Sept. 25.
