Community Continues to Support Searles Renovations
Donations at Harvest Fest have aided the effort.

As renovations continue to be needed at the Searles School and Chapel, a select group of Windham residents has found creative and innovative ways to raise money to fulfill the aforementioned needs.
Last Saturday, in fact, a benefit raised $400 through a bingo cage game at the Windham Harvest Fest, according to the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune, which reported that roughly $23,000 has been raised for the project since last spring.
Former Windham selectman Margaret Case and her husband, Tom, continue to lead the effort, which began after voters rejected a $100,000 warrant article that would have funded the renovation project.
