• New Hampshire is doing away with vehicle safety inspections (nbcboston.com) — New Hampshire drivers, including many in Windham, should know that state vehicle safety and emissions inspections will continue to be required through January 31, 2026, before the program is largely eliminated. A Windham auto shop owner and a local resident describe how inspections have uncovered serious rust and brake issues, raising questions about road safety once stickers disappear. The change will leave New Hampshire the only New England state without mandatory inspections.
