Retired Transfer Station Operator Dies at 69

Lesley H. "Les" Bell was a resident of Windham for 36 years.

Lesley H. “Les” Bell age 69 of Windham, NH, died Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, N.H.

He was born in Needham, Mass, and grew up in Needham, Mass, and Londonderry, N.H. He was a resident of Windham for the past 36 years, formerly of Allenstown, N.H.

Les was a retired operator for the Town of Windham transfer station, where he retired after 20 years. He enjoyed playing golf and loved the outdoors. Most of all Les loved his family and enjoyed spending time with the.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara (Moeckel) Bell of Windham, N.H.

Son: Brian & his wife Heather Bell of Derry, N.H.

Several Nieces & Nephews

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25th from 5-8 p.m. at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, N.H. A memorial service will be Wednesday, Sept. 26th at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Cemetery on the Plain, Windham.
