Scholarship Ceremony Takes Place this Week

2. SCHOLARSHIP CEREMONY THIS WEEK: The annual Junior/Senior Awards and Scholarship Night will take place Wednesday in the Windham High School auditorium at 6 p.m.

3. ALSO, PROM IS THIS WEEK: The Windham High School Senior Prom will be held at the Atkinson Country Club, Atkinson, N.H. on Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1937, the government of Germany--then under the control of Adolf Hitler of the National Socialist (Nazi) Party--forms a new state-owned automobile company, then known as Gesellschaft zur Vorbereitung des Deutschen Volkswagens mbH. Later that year, it was renamed simply Volkswagenwerk, or "The People's Car Company."
