Selectmen to Host Special Meeting to Discuss Traffic Signal

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will meet with the Windham Board of Selectmen Monday night to discuss an ongoing traffic signal issue.

The NHDOT is seeking direction from Windham as to whether the light at the intersection of Routes 111 and 111a should be removed.

The Windham Planning Board voted earlier this month to endorse keeping the light. They will bring the recommendation to Selectmen tonight, along with the recommendation that other strategies be researched further.

The discussion is a follow-up to a May 20 meeting where the town sought public input on the matter.

The meeting will not seek any further public input, and is strictly between Selectmen and the NHDOT.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at the Community Development Department office.
