Selectmen to Open Bids for Sale of Town Land

The Windham Board of Selectmen, at its meeting July 29, will open bid envelopes for the sale of two parcels of town land, per Town Meeting authorization.

The two parcels, which are being sold as a package, are .09 acres on Haverhill Road and portions of the existing right-of-way of Londonbridge Road nearby.

Bids were due Friday. A minimum bid of $20,000 is required.

According to the bid notice, "The property will be sold to the highest qualified bidder, subject to determination of the appraised value, collection of the deposit, satisfactory closing, etc. Closings shall be on or before thirty (30) days from completion of the property appraisal which will determine the final sale price."
