CONCORD, NH — State Sen. Regina Birdsell, R-Hampstead, filed her candidacy with the New Hampshire Secretary of State to run for re-election to the State Senate’s 19th District.

Her district includes the towns of Derry, Hampstead, and Windham.

“Today we made it official — I am seeking to earn the support of the voters in Derry, Hampstead, and Windham,” Birdsell said. “In the State Senate, I have championed balanced budgets, responsible spending, safer communities, election integrity, funding for schools and expanding school choice, economic development, advocated for the unborn, and I’ve protected our 2nd amendment rights.”

Since being re-elected in 2022, Birdsell has served as the chairwoman of the Senate Health and Human Services committee and serves as a member of the Senate’s Finance and Energy committees.

“The Granite State is making our neighbors jealous and it’s the Republicans in the Legislature who have led the way in making this possible. In 2024, New Hampshire was ranked the top state in the Northeast by U.S. News and World Report and the 2nd best in the country. We accomplished this by cutting taxes, balancing our budgets, ensuring our communities remain safe, funding our public schools while simultaneously expanding choice for our students, and we’ve taken a pro-business approach that has benefited our economy.”

“I believe we have much we can still do to ensure our state remains a desirable place for families, seniors, veterans, students, and businesses. I will continue to be laser focused on protecting the New Hampshire advantage. The voters of District 19 can always count on me to support government accountability and to protect their tax dollars from waste. Lastly, a Senator’s most important role is that of a problem solver for their constituents. My door will always be open to constituents who need a problem solved. I look forward to campaigning in our community this summer and fall to earn your support once again.”

  • Representative Charlie Foote, Derry

I am grateful and humbled by the support and encouragement I have received from my colleagues in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. I’m excited to campaign together and ensure the towns of Derry, Hampstead, and Windham continue to elect public servants who will fight for a brighter future and allow our citizens to thrive.”
