The man died of gunshot wounds to the head; police say the investigation continues; the identity of the victim was not released.

WINDHAM, NH — New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Detectives worked at the scene late into Thursday evening gathering evidence and canvassing the neighborhoods near where the body was discovered Thursday morning.

A State Police Major Crime Detective and the commander of the State Police K-9 unit used a K-9 to search the side of the road on Gateway Boulevard between the NH Park and Ride parking lot and the intersection Range Road. Several reports indicated that the deceased man was found by a construction crew and that it was located inside a porta-potty on the side of the road. Fire. Police and EMS responded but did not administer any lifesaving measures based on the amount of time the person had been there.
