Windham Fire Reports Road Closures, Little Action From PSNH
Most of Windham residences are still in the dark following Hurricane Sandy.

A couple of roads are still closed in Windham and little action has been seen from PSNH in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, according to Deputy Fire Chief William Martineau.
Martineau said that Mammoth Road is still shut down next to Waterhouse Country Store. Workers were trying to clear the mess in the rain and wind on Monday night. Morrison Street is also still closed.
Windham Fire officials were unavailable at the station for much of Tuesday as they spent the day assessing post-storm situations in neighborhoods around town.

Martineau also urged residents to focus on generator safety while the power remains out in their homes.
"We have been putting in a great deal of time educating residents about the dangers of generator placement near or even in houses," he said. "A few residents were alerted to high carbon monoxide levels by their detectors."
