Windham Police Cruiser Involved in Accident With Van
The incident took place as an officer was responding to a call.

A Windham Police cruiser was involved in an accident while responding to a call on Sunday, according to Windham Police Capt. Mike Caron.
Caron said that Officer Terri Moore was responding to a call at around 11 a.m. when a van collided with the cruiser at the intersection of Route 111 and the Interstate 93 north exit ramp.
Caron added that the van had only one male occupant at the time of the accident.

The van was coming off the highway when the collision took place
Moore was transported to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the van was unharmed.

Caron said that damage to both the van and cruiser was moderate to significant.
It is still undetermind what will be done with the police vehicle at this time.
This is the second time in 10 months that a WPD cruiser has been involved in an accident.
Serious damage to a police car took place in March 2012 after a Salem woman slammed into the vehicle driving a Mercedes R350.
The officer at that time was also crossing into an intersection (Route 111 and North Lowell Road) responding to a call.
