Windham Man Could be 'Set for Life' with $100,000 a Year

Resident is one of five finalists for sizable annual cash prize.

A Windham man soon begin receiving a six-digit check each year, courtesy of the New Hampshire Lottery.

According to the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune, Remi Gilbert of Windham is one of five finalists for the $100,000 per year cash prize after winning $1,000 off a scratch ticket that also qualified him to become “Set for Life” at this week's drawing, which takes place before the Sylvania 300 race in Loudon.

The New Hampshire Lottery issued the following press release on the contest:

Experience the thrill as five Lottery finalists compete live for prizes from $25,000 up to $100,000 a year for life!  Each of the finalists has already won $1,000 or greater on the $20 Set for Life instant scratch ticket, which qualified them for the September 22nd drawing. 

At the drawing, held before the Sylvania 300 begins, there will be 5 large envelopes for the finalists to choose from.  Four of the envelopes will have cash prize amounts in them and, live on stage, all five will reveal what they have won.  The cash prizes are $25,000, $50,000, $75,000 and $100,000.  The finalist who has revealed “Grand Prize Finalist” will go onto the final contest and take a chance at winning $100,000 a year for life, or a lump sum payment of $250,000.

The fast-paced and fun 9-minute drawing will be conducted in front of the track audience.
