Windham Runner Finished Marathon, Rushed to Aid Bombing Victim
Sean R. Haggerty, 44, of Windham crossed the finish line just 15 minutes before the first bomb exploded Monday.

The Union Leader reported this week that New Hampshire State Police Sgt. Sean Haggerty, a Windham resident, rushed to the aid of a severely injured woman following Monday's bombing at the Boston Marathon finish line.
According to the report, the 44-year-old Haggerty was running with three other troopers in the race. He finished his run about 10 minutes before the first bombing. When the explosion took place, Haggerty ran to a woman severely bleeding from the leg, tied a tourniquet, got her in a wheelchair and pushed her to the medical tent.
One person from the other side of the country took notice to Haggerty's effort.
