Windham School District Administrative Assistant Accused Of Stalking

WINDHAM, NH — An administrative assistant with the Windham School District was arrested on a stalking charge accused of placing an Apple AirTag on her boss’ vehicle.

Sandra Murray, 51, of Londonderry Road in Windham was arrested on Thursday and charged with stalking and conditions of use of location information, both misdemeanors. She was arrested on a warrant. Capt. Bryan Smith of the Windham Police Department offered no comment about the case due to it “being active and ongoing.”

Murray, an administrative assistant to the assistant school superintendent, was accused of placing an Apple AirTag on Superintendent Kori Becht’s vehicle, WMUR-TV reported. According to Salem District Court case summary, Becht filed the civil stalking order against Murray on Nov. 14. In the order, Becht stated she planned on firing Murray, due to the accusation of misuse of public information, and her potential access to sensitive information inside the district.

A hearing will be held on the stalking order on Dec. 13. Murray is due to be arraigned on the charges in Salem District Court on Dec. 12. The motive for the stalking accusation was unknown at post time.

According to GovSalaries.com, Murray earned a little more than $52,000 working for the district in 2022.
