Windham Youth League Raises $1,100 to Date for Marathon Victim
8-year-old Martin Richard's foundation will receive a big boost thanks to the sale of 'Boston Strong' T-shirts in N.H.
Online T-shirt sales have been overwhelming for a 'Boston Strong' fundraiser involving Windham Baseball and Softball, with 550 shirts sold to date.
The youth sports organization is working with Atkinson Graphics of Atkinson, N.H. to get the word out on the fundraiser, which was launched shortly after the Boston Marathon bombings took three lives and injured dozens more on April 15.
The fundraiser is geared to help the family of 8-year-old Martin Richard of Dorchester, Mass., who was among those killed in the bombings. A total of $2 from every shirt sold will go toward the foundation set up in Richard's name.
