13 Hurt, 1 Killed In Crashes, 3 Shot In Home: NJ Weekend

At least four drivers lost control of their vehicles in multiple crashes on Saturday.

NEW JERSEY - A passenger died after a driver lost control of his vehicle on a major Garden State thoroughfare Saturday and several other drivers were injured across the state in similar crashes over the weekend. Three men were also hospitalized after a shooting at a residence.

Passenger Dies After Car Hits Concrete Barrier In North Jersey

A North Jersey man was killed in an Interstate 80 crash early Saturday after the car he was in struck a concrete barrier, NJ.com reported.

The driver of the vehicle, described only as a 40-year-old man from Hasbrouck Heights, was driving eastbound near Teaneck about 3 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a barrier, the outlet reported.

Passenger Richard Bahamonte, 38, of Hillside, died as a result of the crash, the outlet added.

The driver was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The crash is still under investigation.

3 Hospitalized In Shooting At NJ Home: Prosecutor

Three men were hospitalized after a shooting at a residence in Burlington County Saturday night, authorities said.

The shooting took place at about 8:15 p.m. at a home in the first block of Buttercup Lane, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Willingboro Township Acting Public Safety Director Captain Ian Bucs said in a joint statement. Read more.

2 Hurt In Woodbridge Crash

A New York driver and his passenger were seriously injured after a crash on the Garden State Parkway Saturday, News12 reported.

The driver, identified as Tyler Santi-Angelo, lost control of his Jeep SUV and hit a tree, trapping the pair, the outlet reported.

The passenger, a minor, was rushed via medevac to a local hospital, the outlet added. The incident remains under investigation.

6 Hospitalized In North Jersey Crash

Six people were rushed to the hospital after a two-car collision in North Jersey on Saturday, News12 reported.

A Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound when it lost control and struck a Subaru heading in the opposite direction about 11 p.m. on Route 31 in Hampton, per WRNJ.

Both drivers and four passengers were rushed to the hospital, the outlet added.

4 Injured In Atlantic City Expressway Toll Plaza Crash

Four people were hurt after a Kia driver lost control of their vehicle early Saturday on the Atlantic City Expressway, NBC10 reported.

The crash took place about 5 a.m. on the eastbound side of the expressway at the Egg Harbor Township toll plaza, the outlet reported. The crash remains under investigation.
