2 NJ Pizzerias Rank Among Top 50 In U.S.
The dough and well-cooked crust of favorites like the Margherita put the top NJ spot on the list of the nation's top pizzerias.
Some of the best pizza in the country is found in New Jersey, according to the new 50 Top Pizza guide that's based on the findings of a team of inspectors who anonymously evaluate pizzerias around the world.
“Year after year we are noticing changes in pizzerias across the United States that have led to increasingly interesting ideas and that are good for the entire industry,” guide curators Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro, and Albert Sapere said in a statement. “We would also like to mention that the different styles of pizza that our inspectors get to enjoy are also getting more numerous. This is a good thing because it creates a wider variety for the customer.”
According to their list, the best pizza in New Jersey is found at Razza in Jersey City. The dough and well-cooked crust of favorites like the Margherita ranked Razza on the list of the nation’s top pizzerias.

According to a review from Steve Frey, "This place is worth the hype. The pizza crust was so thin it wasn’t even there in the middle, and perfectly doughy on the edge. The taste is unique—not too artsy that you feel guilty for eating a work of art, and certainly not cheap-tasting junk."
The other New Jersey spot that make the ranking is Bricco in Haddon Township.
"Bricco is always a great choice for fantastic pizza or Italian affair. The pizza is some of the best, the fried mozzarella is nothing you would ever find elsewhere," one diner said in a five-star Google review.
"I'm addicted to their pizza," another diner said, noting " The Rego is the best pizza I ever had in my life."
