Body Pulled From Canal, Kidnapping Spree Ends In Arrest: NJ Weekend
A man linked to a spree of attacks around the state was arrested and a teen girl killed in a multi-vehicle crash rounded out the weekend.
NEW JERSEY - A man linked to a spree of attacks around the state was nabbed, a teen was injured in a daytime shooting, a body was pulled from a local canal and three people died as a result of motor vehicle crashes in New Jersey.

Teen Injured In North Jersey Shooting
A 16-year-old was injured during a daytime shooting in Paterson on Sunday, authorities said.
Police officers responded to the area of 12th Avenue and Auburn Street about 2:39 p.m. for a report of a shooting when they found the teen, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge Isa Abbassi said.
The victim was rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center to be treated for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
Driver Dies In 3-Car South Jersey Crash
A 22-year-old driver from South Jersey died as a result of a three-car crash in Voorhees Township Friday night, authorities said.
A 41-year-old Voorhees driver was hospitalized in stable condition after the crash on Haddonfield-Berlin Road about 10:08 p.m., police said. A third driver, a 53-year-old from Atco, didn’t report any injuries.
The driver who died in the crash was speeding in a Honda near Lafayette Avenue when it hit the Voorhees driver’s Chevrolet SUV head-on, police said. The Honda then crossed into the incoming lane of traffic and struck the Atco driver’s Lexus SUV.
Driver Dead, 2 Hurt In Turnpike Crash
A 31-year-old New York driver died and two others were injured following a New Jersey Turnpike crash in North Jersey Sunday morning, NJ.com reported.
The victim, who was not immediately identified by police, was driving an Acura on the southbound local lanes in Fort Lee when it struck a concrete wall, crossed the curb median and hit a Ford heading north, the outlet reported.The two vehicles then struck the left guardrail.
The passenger of the Acura was injured and the 23-year-old driver of the Ford reported minor injuries, the outlet added.
