A victim identified in a fatal triple shooting in the Garden State rounded out the weekend.
NEW JERSEY - An infant was killed by a family dog, a shooting victim was identified, an alleged gunman died and a cop was injured in a separate shootout over the weekend.

An infant was killed by the family dog Saturday morning in the Avenel section of Woodbridge in what Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone called "a tragic death."
The baby was pronounced deceased on scene while the mother and father were transported to the hospital for treatment. Read more.

1 Dead, Cop Hurt In Friday Shooting
One person died and a police officer was injured in a Friday night shooting in Hamilton Township, authorities said.
Hamilton police responded to a home on Orchard Avenue for a domestic violence call about 10 p.m., according to the state attorney general’s office. At the scene, a man armed with a rifle exchanged gunfire with two officers.
The man with the rifle was fatally shot and pronounced dead at the scene, the attorney general’s office said. One officer was also struck and was hospitalized for his injuries.
