Visa Credit, Debit Issues Reported By Customers
Thousands of customers reported issues using Visa cards for purchases with many in New Jersey and New York, according to Down Detector.
NEW JERSEY — Thousands of customers have reported issues using Visa credit and debit cards to make purchases and payments Saturday, according to the website Down Detector.
The reports began just before 1:30 p.m. eastern time, and the website received a peak of 1,212 customers reporting problems at around 3:38 p.m. The problems are most concentrated in the New York and New Jersey areas, according to the website.
Customers have reported issues in other major metropolitan areas, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., Houston, Dallas, Seattle, Phoenix and Atlanta.

Nearly 80 percent of the problems involved making purchases, according to the website.
Visa did not immediately return a message from Patch.
