Dad Charged In 9-Year-Old Son’s Death In Burning Car: NJ Weekend
A 60-year-old pedestrian died in a crash and a warehouse shooting rounded out the weekend.

NEW JERSEY - A pedestrian was killed in a Jersey Shore town crash, a woman was hospitalized in a three-alarm house fire, a man was shot multiple times in a warehouse and a New Jersey dad was charged after he was found in a high school parking lot next to a burning vehicle with the body of his 9-year-old son inside.

A New Jersey woman was hospitalized as a result of a three-alarm house fire in Newark Sunday morning, NJ.com reported.
Firefighters battled the blaze on the 700 block of Summer Avenue just after 11:30 a.m., the outlet reported. The fire was deemed under control about an hour later.

The victim’s condition was not immediately made clear, the outlet added.
Pedestrian, 60, Dies In Crash
A 60-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a car in West Long Branch Friday night, NJ.com reported.
The victim, whose name was not provided, was struck on the eastbound lanes of Route 36 near Monmouth Road just before 8 p.m., the outlet reported. He was pronounced dead in an area hospital.
A 38-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle that struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene, the outlet added. The driver has not been ticketed or charged.
PA Man Hospitalized in North Jersey Crash
Derek Thomas, of Pennsylvania, was injured in a crash on I-78 West in North Jersey Sunday, News12 New Jersey reported.
The driver of a Buick reportedly lost control of his vehicle and hit a guardrail in Clinton just before 4 a.m., the outlet reported. The incident is under investigation.
1 Critically Injured, 1 Arrested In Linden Warehouse Shooting
A South Orange man was arrested on Friday in connection with a shooting inside a Linden warehouse earlier that day, authorities said.
Officers found the victim, a 43-year-old man from Elizabeth, had been shot multiple times. He was treated on scene and taken to Newark University Hospital in critical condition, said Linden Police Capt. Christopher Guenther.
Corprew fled the scene before police arrived, but was quickly identified as the suspect. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was taken into custody during a motor vehicle stop by Newark police at around 1:30 p.m. Read more.
