NEW JERSEY - Dozens of earthquake aftershocks, a deadly motorcycle crash, a shooting near Rutgers University and a mother with her children in tow were hit by a vehicle over the weekend.

3 Men Nabbed In Shooting Near Rutgers University

Three men were charged in connection with a shooting near Rutgers University in New Brunswick that left two people injured Friday morning, News12 New Jersey reported.
Christian Farmer 22, Ryan Nasi 22 and Walter Rodriguez-Cardenas, 20, were nabbed in Somerville after a woman was struck with a stray bullet in her home and a male victim was hospitalized with shooting-related injuries, the outlet reported. The gunfire erupted near Easton Avenue and Hamilton Street, just two blocks away from student housing.
The man was released and the woman is still hospitalized as of Sunday afternoon.
Motorcyclist, 24, Killed After Hitting Telephone Pole
A New Jersey motorcyclist died after he struck a telephone pole on Saturday night, NJ.com reported.
Manuel Ramones-Vicuna, 24, of Hamilton, crashed into a pole in the parking lot of Independence Mall in Hamilton Township about 7:40 p.m., the outlet reported. He reportedly died at the scene.
Witnesses to the crash are asked to contact the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit at (609) 581-4000.
38 Earthquake Aftershocks Reported In NJ After Friday’s Big Quake
More than three dozen earthquake aftershocks have been reported around the Garden State since Friday morning’s 4.8 magnitude earthquake, experts said.
The strongest aftershock occurred near Gladstone at 3.8 magnitude about 6 p.m. on Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The most recent aftershock was recorded at April 7 about 7:30 p.m. near Califon.
More aftershocks are likely to follow, USGS officials said.
"According to our forecast, there is a 1% chance of one or more aftershocks that are larger than magnitude 5, which can be damaging, within the next week," the USGS said, adding the area could record up to 10 aftershocks in the next week that measure at a magnitude 3 or higher.
