FBI's Most Wanted NJ Fugitives Sought In Killings, Terrorism, Spyings
Over two dozen fugitives with ties to New Jersey are being sought in connection with serious, sometimes violent, crimes. Have you seen them?
NEW JERSEY - FBI offices in New Jersey are looking for more than two dozen people named to the federal agency's "Most Wanted" list.
The fugitives’ crimes range from crimes against children and cyber crimes to murder and terrorism, according to the FBI’s Newark office.
If you see one of the individuals, do not approach them. Instead, contact 911, your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or consulate.

Here is the list of New Jersey fugitives considered armed and dangerous below:
Francisco Martinez (Murder)

Martinez is wanted for fatally shooting his employer in Passaic on Sept. 14, 2001, according to FBI records. The victim was shot "execution-style"
in the basement of the workplace. The two men had allegedly been arguing that day after the victim confronted Martinez about his possible involvement in both a fire set at the business in August 2001 and thefts of textile materials from the business.
Martinez has ties to Ecuador, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida and may be traveling throughout South America.
Wilfredo Rodriguez (Murder)

Rodriguez is wanted in connection with the murder of a male relative on June 7, 1983, Irvington, New Jersey, after an argument erupted between the two. Rodriguez was arrested for the crime, stood trial, was found guilty of murder, and was sentenced to life in prison, according to FBI records, although Rodriguez never surrendered for confinement when he was released on bail pending appeal of his conviction.
He has ties to Mexico, Puerto Rico and California and has been known to carry a knife with him.
Andre J. Fleurentin (Murder)

Fleurentin is wanted in connection with the killing of a man on Oct. 1, 1992, in Union County, according to FBI records. Fleurentin and others had reportedly gathered in front of a home in the area when a man approached the group. After Fleurentin had a brief discussion with the man, Fleurentin pulled a gun from his jacket and shot and killed him. He also allegedly then began shooting at everyone else in the area, striking two more individuals
Diego Alfonso De Leon Mejia (Murder)
De Leon Mejia is wanted for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of a man at a gas station in Paterson on May 16, 2019. He was charged on May 31, 2019 with murder and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and a state warrant was issued for his arrest; a federal arrest warrant was issued by a U.S. District Court on March 18, 2021 after he was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, per FBI records.
Dennis M. Cunningham (Murder)

Cunningham, a convicted felon, is wanted in connection with the shooting death of a man in Irvington on May 12,2017, according to the FBI's Newark office. Cunningham was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and robbery on June 15, 2017; On September 8, 2017, a federal arrest warrant was issued by a U.S. District Court after he was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Kofi Edwards (Armed Robbery)

Edwards is wanted in connection with an armed robbery of a restaurant in Woodbridge on March 17, 2009, when he and others reportedly tied up three individuals at gunpoint and robbed the establishment of a "large sum of money."
Edwards speaks with an accent indicative of Trinidad and Tobago, according to FBI records.
George Edward Wright (Domestic Terrorism)

On Nov. 23, 1962, Wright and an accomplice shot and killed the owner of a gas station in Wall during a robbery at the business, according to FBI records. Wright was indicted for the murder on Dec. 13, 1962, and was sentenced to prison for a period of 15 to 30 years. Eight years later, Wright escaped from the New Jersey State Prison in Leesburg.
Wright and others were arrested on July 31, 1972, after hijacking a Delta Airlines jet en route from Detroit, Michigan, to Miami, Florida. The hijackers used handguns and made threats against the passengers on the plane, according to FBI records. After a ransom was delivered to the hijackers, the passengers were released in Miami. The hijackers and the plane's crew then flew to Boston, Massachusetts, refueled, picked up an international navigator, and flew to Algiers.
On Sept. 26, 2011, after more than 40 years as a fugitive, Wright was arrested in Portugal. He was released October 2011 and remains in Portugal, where he is believed to still be living. Wright is the sole hijacker to remain at large.
Joanne Deborah Chesimard (Terrorism)

Chesimard escaped from prison in Clinton while serving a life sentence for the murder of a state trooper on May 2, 1973. Chesimard, who was
part of a "revolutionary extremist organization known as the Black Liberation Army," according to the FBI, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on the New Jersey Turnpike by two New Jersey State Police troopers. At the time, Chesimard was wanted for her involvement in several other crimes, including a bank robbery.
Chesimard and others began firing weapons at the troopers, with one trooper wounded and another shot and killed "execution-style at point-blank range."
In 1977, Chesimard was found guilty of murder, assault and battery of a police officer, among other crimes. She was sentenced to life in prison. Two years later, Chesimard escaped from prison and lived underground before being located in Cuba in 1984. She is thought to still be living in Cuba, FBI officials said.
There are over a dozen other fugitives on the run, according the FBI office. Their names are:

- Mujtaba Raza: Cyber crimes
- Mohsin Raza: Cyber crimes

- Hooman Heidarian: Cyber crimes
