Rain, Wind To Lash NJ Wednesday As Flood Risk Increases: Latest Forecast
Dreary conditions are expected with widespread rain and wind gusts of up to 25 mph, according to the forecast.
Wednesday will be a dreary and wet day for the Garden State as a coastal storm lingers across the region, bringing rounds of showers, wind and flooding, according to the latest forecast.
Cloudy skies, periods of rain and cool temperatures are in store, National Weather Service forecasters said, continuing throughout the day.
"Bands of showers will continue to impact the region today, generally moving inland and gradually lifting toward the north as the day progresses," National Weather Service forecasters said in a Wednesday morning update.

It won't be an all day rain situation, instead, there will be periods of light to moderate showers. Some embedded thunder is possible, but no severe thunderstorms are forecast, according to the National Weather Service.
Northeast winds will blow 10 to 20 mph, possibly gusting up to 25 mph at times, forecasters said.

A Coastal Flood Advisory will be in effect for Ocean County from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Minor tidal flooding of up to one-half foot of inundation in low-lying areas is in store.
"Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected," the National Weather Service said.
Conditions will improve Thursday.
"Some lingering showers may still occur near the coast in the morning, but overall should see drastic improvements for all areas by the afternoon with clearing skies," the National Weather Service said.
Things will get warmer with summery temperatures briefly returning Friday before a cold front approaches, bringing cooler temperatures, but remaining dry.
