Snow In NJ As Frigid Air Blasts State: Latest Forecast
Arctic air is moving through the state, bringing winterlike temperatures to New Jersey, according to the latest forecast.
A blast of Arctic air is set to cause frigid conditions across New Jersey and even some snow flurries, according to the latest forecast.
The coldest airmass of the season is ahead, creeping across the state following showers and thunderstorms from Sunday night into Monday. During the day Monday, expect overcast conditions, brisk winds and seasonably chilly temperatures with highs in the 40s to low 50s, National Weather Service forecasters said.
Overnight into Tuesday, things will get even colder, ushering in "a rather raw day," forecasters said. Wind chill values will start out in the teens and only rise to the low 30s by mid-afternoon.

Some snow flurries are possible in the northwestern corner of the state, according to an AccuWeather map, but nothing significant.
Wednesday will see a slight improvement as temps climb up to the upper 40s to the mid/upper 50s. Another weak cold front moves through that night, but it will be mostly dry and only change the temperature slightly, forecasters said.

Things will remain dry and chilly through the weekend, before the next storm system approaches on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday: A chance of showers, mainly before 2 p.m. Cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 40 by 5 p.m. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
