Sandler is also set to begin a new comedy tour in the fall, announcing dates in both Philadelphia and New York City.

A comedy favorite is on his way back to New Jersey for the filming of another movie.

According to radio station New Jersey 101.5, Adam Sandler is producing a movie known for now as "Untitled Roommates Project" starring his daughter, Sadie. The film, produced through his Happy Madison Productions company, will begin shooting this summer.

This latest development comes as "Happy Gilmore 2" is set to hit theatres in just over a month. Sandler and a bevy of celebrity co-stars with cameos frequented a number of sites around New Jersey over the past year shooting scenes at golf courses, restaurants and other locations.

Another A-List movie star is filming a new project in Jersey City and Hoboken this week. Philadelphia's own Kevin Hart is shooting for "72 Hours," a new comedy where he tries to recapture the spirit of his younger days.

The migration of major productions to places like New Jersey rather than the typical Hollywood backlot is continuing to see a steady rise. Both the Bob Dylan blockbuster hit biopic, "A Complete Unknown," starring Timothee Chalamet (photos here), and "It Ends With Us" starring Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively (see photos) were two recent projects that spent time in Hoboken securing scenes.
