How To Celebrate Spring With Free Ice Cream In New Jersey

On March 19 only, participating Dairy Queen restaurants in New Jersey and nationwide will host Free Cone Day.

NEW JERSEY — Spring has nearly sprung, and what better way to celebrate than with free ice cream on the first day of the season?

On March 19 only, participating Dairy Queen restaurants in New Jersey and nationwide will host Free Cone Day, offering fans one free small vanilla soft-serve cone "featuring the classic curl on top," the company announced last week.

"Free Cone Day also signifies the return of 'Treat Szn,' the time of year when the sun sticks around longer, flowers begin to bloom and the only things that should be cold are sweet treats that come in a cone or cup," Dairy Queen said.

The company limits one cone per customer while supplies last, and the offer is available at participating US non-mall locations and at participating mall locations with purchase, the company said.

You can visit DairyQueen.com or download the DQ mobile app to find a local DQ restaurant, though the Free Cone Day offer is not valid on delivery or mobile orders.

"Nothing says warmer weather is around the corner quite like Free Cone Day," Maria Hokanson, the executive vice president of marketing at Dairy Queen said. "We're inviting fans everywhere to grab their friends and families and get their 'Treat Szn' started with something sweet – on us!"
