Check out some highlights from the events calendar, as we reach the unofficial end of summer in New Jersey.

NEW JERSEY — Labor Day Weekend is here, marking the unofficial end of summer down the Shore and across New Jersey.

For those who don't want the school-free days and long nights to end, there is still time for a lot of summer fun this weekend around the state. Find fireworks, festivals, an air show, and live music — and get details for Bruce Springsteen's two shows this weekend, and a James Taylor concert on Monday.

Labor Day Clambake and BBQ, Beach Haven (Saturday)

A sunset clambake (build-your-own) is the perfect end-of-summer activity at QC Market in Beach Haven, beginning at 7 p.m.. There's BBQ options for those who aren't seafood fans. Get tickets here.

24-hour celebration shows ‘spirit of the city' in Newark (Fri-Sat)

The free celebration will include performances from stars such as Redman, Lil' Mo and a well-known member of the Wu-Tang Clan. Local artists from the area will also perform on both days.

This year’s event will take place on Springfield Avenue, between Bergen and Blum Streets beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1 and ending at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2. (Read more on Patch.)

Airfest 2023, NASW Aviation Museum, Wildwood (Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon)

The museum's largest annual fundraiser showcases historic aircraft; and also includes presentations, live music, classic cars, and more.

Food and dessert trucks will be on site all four days. Adult tickets are $18, with $14 tickets for children ages 3-12. Children under 3 years old, active duty military, and members are free. Time is 10 am. to 4 p.m.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band playing in East Rutherford (Fri; Sun)

"The Boss" is back in his home state, playing two tour dates at MetLife Stadium. Springsteen takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. "for the best homecoming of the year." Parking and merchandise vendors open at 2:30 p.m.

James Taylor playing in Holmdel (Monday)

"Sweet Baby James," a six-time Grammy Award winner, is bringing his All-Star Band to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. The legendary singer-songwriter will play at 7:30 p.m. Monday, in what is considered a highlight of the year. (Read more on Patch)
