NEW JERSEY — The plot of this week's episode of "Family Guy" takes on a subject familiar to New Jersey residents: former Gov. Chris Christie.

In the episode titled "Fat Actor," Peter Griffin and his family learn that actor Brad Pitt will be in Quahog to film a movie based on Christie.

Pitt is set to portray the former governor, but Peter takes issue with that. Christie should be played by a plus-size actor.

"Brad Pitt is playing Chris Christie?" Peter says in a preview for the episode. "It should be a fat guy playing that role. Chris Christie didn’t eat 10,000 Jersey Mike’s subs just to be played by a Hollywood pretty boy. That’s offensive and I, for one, will not stand for it."

Peter and his dog, Brian, protest the film titled "Christie" outside the studio before a producer offers to hear his concerns. Peter is then offered a chance to be the film's "fat guy consultant," a role in which he teaches Pitt how to live an overweight lifestyle.

As a result, Pitt gains so much weight that he throws out his back and can't walk.

At the movie's premiere, scenes show Peter being sworn in as New Jersey governor in 2010 and facing Hurricane Sandy.
