NEW JERSEY - Another strong storm is forecast to impact weather in the Garden State Wednesday into Thursday, bringing with it possible wind gusts and flooding, forecasters said.
While periods of rain are expected starting Monday night, the bulk of the storm is set to ramp up Wednesday afternoon and could bring up to two inches of rain Wednesday night, with locally higher amounts possible closer to the shore, according to the National Weather Service.
“Rainfall will overspread the region from south to north during the late morning and afternoon Wednesday and depart late overnight,” the National Weather Service said in a forecast discussion.

“Given the antecedent rain events and soggy ground, this may result in some minor flooding of low lying and urban areas and could also result in some river flooding as well,” the agency added.
AccuWeather is already predicting travel delays Thursday due to potential flooding, according to its daily forecast.
