This NJ Amusement Park Was Just Named Among 20 Best In US

NEW JERSEY — If adrenaline-producing roller coasters and smile-inducing costumed characters are your idea of a fun family play date, one of the 20 best amusement parks in the country is close to home in New Jersey, according to a recent U.S. News & World Report ranking.

The New Jersey mention on the 20 Best Amusement Parks in the U.S. for 2025 is Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township.

Located approximately 25 miles east of Trenton, the theme park itself offers 66 rides, and this includes thrilling coasters like Medusa, Nitro and El Toro.

New this year at Six Flags Great Adventure is the first super boomerang coaster in North America called The Flash, according to the 20 Best Amusement Parks in the U.S. for 2025.

U.S. News said the amusement parks on the list can be affordable for families, especially when reservations are booked in advance. The parks are supported by a range of nearby lodging options, including family-oriented hotels with pools to campgrounds.
