NJ Neighbor's Game Day Recipe: Create Your Own Quesadilla
Local residents are sharing their favorite game day recipes. Here's how to create your own quesadilla.
If you plan it right, the snacks at your football watch party on Feb. 11 will be as much discussed as the key plays. When we asked New Jersey readers to submit their MVP-worthy recipes, Trish C from Tuckerton submitted this recipe:
Create your own quesadilla
Large tortilla, meat- either: chicken, shrimp, beef or any meat, cheese, and a vegetable -either: tomato, onion, zucchini, peppers, sauce- either: bbq, balsamic glaze, mustard. Sour cream and salsa for dipping if you like.

With a large tortilla think of it in quarters. Cut a small radius a line from the center to the outside edge. On the left half of it in the first quarter closest to you put sauce, quarter above that put meat, fold up the lower quarter over the meat on the right half of it and the top quarter put your vegetable and a little piece of cheese, the bottom right corner put more cheese and maybe a small amount of your vegetable. Fold over the top left quarter over the top right corner, and fold down that top right down over the bottom right with the cheese and the small amount of vegetable on it. Have your pan heating up with some oil spray. Put now the tortilla folded in quarters into the pan with a cheese side down. Heat up, flip over and when that's browned a little it's done. Service sour cream and salsa if you like or more sauce or dipping.
You can still submit recipes for appetizers, dishes or snacks to inspire others who are fourth and long and short on ideas. Be sure to tell us why your guests will do a touchdown dance over your party spread.
