This NJ Pizzeria Is Among Top 5 In US: New Ranking

JERSEY CITY, NJ — While the best pizza in the country may be in New York City, there's a restaurant in Jersey City serving up pies that are close behind.

The Robb Report — a magazine highlighting luxury items, from cars to watches to travel destinations — on Wednesday published a list of the 50 best pizzerias in the country.

New York's Una Pizza Napoletana was first, but in the second spot was Razza Pizza Artigianale, a popular destination known for its thin-crust pies.

The pizzeria has won accolades and high rankings in restaurant lists for several years now.

Run by chef and author Dan Richer, Razza gained fame when a 2017 New York Times story asked, Is New York's Best Pizza In New Jersey?

The eatery specializes in a limited menu of breads and thin-crust specialty pizzas such as Jersey Margherita (with fresh Jersey Girl mozzarella from South Jersey) and the Zucchine pie.

It's located in a business district near the Grove Street PATH station, full of interesting restaurants and shops.

The restaurant moved next door to bigger digs a year ago, now residing at 275/277 Grove St.

What Else Is In The Top 10?

Razza was the only New Jersey entry on the top-50 list. New York City had several.
