NJ Transit Rolls Out Discounts For The Summer

NEW JERSEY - There are plenty of ways to get out and enjoy the summer months around the Garden State, and NJ Transit is trying to help them be a little cooler on your wallet.

The agency is offering a host of different warm-weather deals to save customers money while going on their next adventure. Using the NJ Transit mobile app, riders can enter special promo codes for trips to the beach, Monmouth Racetrack and more.

Everyone who redeems any promo codes through the NJ Transit app this summer will also earn 100 bonus points in NJT Rewards, their free loyalty club. Points can be redeemed for different deals at local businesses and attractions, and even national brand merchandise.

The special "Summer Adventures" deals are available now, and run through September 2, 2025 when all tickets also expire.

Some Highlights:

“Buy One, Get One Free” round-trip ticket between any origin and destination during the month of June. Each customer is eligible to use one code per month.

Beach Time: Get to the Jersey Shore from New York City for under $24 on weekdays with a code good for more than 40 percent off of regular fares. A special code in the NJ Transit app will unlock these savings for those looking to travel to Long Branch and stations farther south on the North Jersey Coast Line.

Enjoy Philadelphia: NJ Transit customers can use promo codes in the NJ Transit Mobile App to receive a 40 percent discounted round-trip ride to Philadelphia. The code allows riders to buy and activate up to two round-trip tickets, which must both be activated on the same day.
