UNION COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Union County and many other parts of North Jersey for Friday through 4:15 p.m.

Wind gusts are estimated to reach 60 miles per hour in some areas.

Officials said the storm could lead to a significant threat to life and property.
