New Poll Shows Contentious NJ Governor’s Race Tightening
A new poll shares insight into the NJ Governor's race between Democrat Mikie Sherrill and Republican Jack Ciattarelli.

With only weeks away from the general election, a new poll is suggesting the race for New Jersey Governor will be a close one.
According to Newsweek citing a poll by KAConsulting, Democrat Mikie Sherrill continues to hold a slight, yet narrowing lead with 47 percent of voters backing her over Republican Jack Ciattarelli with 44 percent of voters backing him.
This is in comparison to a Quinnipiac University New Jersey poll last week that showed Sherrill with 50 percent of voters support over Cittarelli's 44 percent.

The poll was commissioned by Change NJ, a GOP PAC that is supporting Ciattarelli's campaign and was conducted by KAConsulting, a firm run by Kellyanne Conway, a former Trump adviser. It had a margin of error of +/- 4 percentage points, according to Newsweek.
Despite a narrowing lead, Sherrill has remained steadily ahead.
At the beginning of October, Fox News released its own poll of New Jersey voters that found Sherrill was ahead of Ciattarelli. Another poll released by Quantus Insights also showsed Sherill with a slight lead over Ciattarelli 48.1 percent to 45.8 percent, among likely voters.

A previous Quinnipiac poll on Sept. 17 also showed Sherill recieving 49 percent of support while Cittarelli recived 41 percent of support.
Sherrill, a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot currently serving as a congress member, is running for governor as a Democrat in New Jersey. She is facing a challenge from Republican Jack Ciattarelli, a former state assemblyman who has gotten an endorsement from President Donald Trump.
