Last week, 235 athletes competed in events like alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.
Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon has hosted the Special Olympics Winter Games for 40 years.

The weather cooperated, and there was plenty of snow on the ground for the competitors.
Friday, Feb. 18, speed skaters will race in Old Bridge Township. In March, figure skaters will compete in West Orange.
