Summer's 'Best Weather' In NJ Forecast This Week: Details

What could be "the most pleasant weather of the summer” so far is set to kick off the week in New Jersey before hot and humid conditions return to the Garden State over the weekend, forecasters said Monday.

The change in weather is a welcome one for New Jersey residents following days of rain and flood watches that drenched various parts of the state.

According to the weather forecast, highs on Monday will reach the mid-upper 80s and continue into Tuesday and Wednesday, making for "the best weather days of the summer so far."

“Today will feature mostly sunny skies with seasonably warm temps and, as mentioned, lower humidity!” the National Weather Service said. “Today through Wednesday will probably be the three best weather days of the summer so far.”

On Tuesday, highs will be in the lower 80s, and on Wednesday night, low temperatures will generally reach the low to mid-60s. Both days will feature low humidity, forecasters said.

Starting on Thursday, hot and humid conditions will return to the Garden State “with a vengeance” as highs reach the upper 80s to around 90 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Going into Friday, heat advisories might be in effect for highs in the low to mid-90s and max heat index values ranging from around 100 to as high as 105.

A brief cold front may bring some relief with showers and thunderstorms throughout the day Friday and Friday night, though temperatures will once again be in the upper 80s to low 90s over the weekend, with possible max heat index values up to and around 100 degrees.
