'Taylor Swift Ham' Declared Part Of NJ's Official Breakfast Sandwich
Swift's "Eras Tour" plays three nights at MetLife Stadium this weekend, and the governor's office is getting "Ready For It."

NEW JERSEY — Has Taylor Swift settled the debate between pork roll and Taylor Ham in the Garden State?
Gov. Phil Murphy declared New Jersey’s official state sandwich to be a “Taylor Swift Ham, Egg, and Cheese” in a tongue-in-cheek proclamation Thursday. Swift’s “Eras Tour” plays three nights at MetLife Stadium this weekend.
Tickets for the award-winning pop star's concerts sold out quickly on Ticketmaster, and resale prices are at a premium for her New Jersey shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Swifties in New Jersey will be getting their best "Eras" costumes ready, and the governor’s office is also getting “Ready For It.”

Murphy said that New Jersey has a “Reputation” for the debate between Taylor Ham and pork roll in his proclamation:

“New Jersey is Enchanted to announce the Taylor Swift Ham, Egg, and Cheese as the official State Sandwich and end The Great War between Taylor Ham and Pork Roll,” the proclamation says.

Some Swift fans reacted to Murphy's tweets on the matter with glee, and some with an eye roll. Others stuck their toes firmly in the sand and insisted it's still called "pork roll."

MetLife Stadium, meanwhile, is encouraging fans without tickets not to come to the stadium or its parking lots, which will be at capacity. Fans have flocked to parking lots and outside arenas at prior shows to hear the music even if they can't get into the concert.
"Additional unauthorized crowds will create traffic and gridlock for everyone," the stadium said. "Thank you for your cooperation."

MetLife held "Early Merch Day" for the tour on Thursday at the stadium in East Rutherford, which runs through 8 p.m. See the Early Merch Day info here.
